This was the first of many collaborations with Dr. Louis Keith, a noted lecturer on multiples and a twin himself. It was meant to update and replace Maternal Nutrition, which had gone out of print a few years earlier. Included were many of the same topics as covered previously, plus caffeine and reproduction, vitamins and minerals, and maternal phenylketonuria.
